What is Heathrow Valet Parking?

When it comes to parking at Heathrow, you have two choices in front of you. One of them is to book into a car park and drive there on your own, finding an appropriate space and then either walking or getting a free transfer bus to the terminal. The other alternative is to opt for valet parking. But do you know exactly what you’re getting with Heathrow valet parking?

The idea is that you don’t have to park by yourself. Instead you will get someone else to do it for you. This makes your trip much smoother and it is particularly good if you don’t want the hassle of getting from the car park to the terminal you are travelling from.

Every terminal has a valet parking area that means you can just drive up to the allocated point, get out and hand your car over to the valet parking staff member who is there to greet you. This is why this type of parking is also referred to as Meet and Greet parking, because you meet someone there who greets you and then takes your car and parks it on your behalf.

As you can imagine there are some significant advantages to going for Heathrow valet parking, not least the fact that you will have less stress in getting into the terminal. You know you have to drive there, get your luggage out and leave the task of parking to someone else. What could be easier than that? It’s also great if you have a lot of luggage, other passengers to consider, or you have a disability of some kind. Being able to get into the terminal easily without any hassle is often the best way to proceed. Travelling can be stressful at the best of times, so being able to focus on making this bit of the journey easier is a good thing to do.

It is worth noting that you will have to pay slightly more to get valet parking. But many people would say that it is definitely a price worth paying.
